Cherry City Electric is proud to be the electrical subcontractor for several levels of tenant improvement projects within the iconic Towne Storage Building. The timber-framed brick building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and in 2015, the building was expanded and renovated for use as creative office space with restaurant spaced added at the ground level. The unreinforced masonry building underwent a seismic upgrade and the iconic water tank was preserved. A 6th floor penthouse level was added with glass and metal panel accents that complement the original brick exterior. The interior spaces include mostly exposed electrical work with very creative and high end lighting fixtures to complement the architectural style and feel of the 101 year old structure. Electrical crews on the project peaked at 45 electricians on this very unique TI for a very well known architectural software developer and our work was completed in 5 short months.
